Management

The Association's governance is made up of a group of experienced professionals in the fields of management, health, humanitarian action and development work. The projects are evaluated, run and supervised by Ms Taiba Rahim.

Ms Taiba Rahim is president of the association and manages the Nai Qala school project. Ms Rahim is an Afghan national and a teacher by training. She worked previously with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Afghanistan.

In March 2010, Mme Rahim won the award "Femme exilée, femme engagée" by the City of Geneva for her engagement in Afghanistan:

Translation of the encomium: "for her strength, energy and leadership capacity; for her passion for justice and equality; for the open-mindedness, optimism and competencies, that have allowed her to carry out several projects that have improved the lives of many of her countrymen and women; for the excellent information and awareness-raising work she carries out in Switzerland to overcome the negative stereotypes often conveyed by the media about Afghanistan and in particular about the situation of women."

 

Legal Form

Our Association Nai Qala is registered, and administered in compliance with Articles 60 to 79 of the Swiss Civil Code. The registered address of the Association is in Duillier near Geneva, Switzerland.

Nai-Qala is a charitable and non-for-profit organisation; within Switzerland, all donations to us are tax-deductable.
