In the remote highlands of Central Afghanistan, families work hard to feed their children, yet many still face gaps in nutrition. Our recent assessment found that while most households have clean water and basic staples, many children lack enough protein, fruits, and vegetables in their daily diets. We believe that nourishment begins with knowledge. Through our community classes, children and parents learn how to make the best use of what they already have, milk, eggs, legumes, and local vegetables, to help children grow strong and healthy. This #WorldFoodDay, we celebrate the resilience of families and renew our commitment to helping children in Afghanistan’s central highlands enjoy the right to good nutrition and a healthy future. ...
